Penyffordd is hosting a blood donor session for Pet Blood Bank on Wednesday 21st September. Pet Blood Bank provides a canine blood bank for all veterinary practices across the UK and, like the human equivalent, dogs from all over the country give blood at one of the many sessions held.

Every unit of blood helps to save up to four other doggy lives.

If your dog fulfils the criteria, would you be prepared to come along? The appointment lasts approximately 40 minutes where your dog receives a health check (annual blood profile) from one of the PBB vets, donates 450ml blood, and rest, refreshments and goody bag! You are with your doggy at every step of their appointment. Please feel free to spread the word amongst your non-Daleside friends: the more, the merrier!

Your dog needs to be:

• Fit and healthy
• Between one and eight years old
• Weigh more than 25kg
• Have a good temperament
• Have never travelled abroad
• Vaccinated
• Not on any medication
