Daleside Veterinary Group are currently recruiting for a Certification Support Officer (CSOs) in order to support Veterinarians in the export certification of animal food products, which is anticipated to increase.

This is a customer facing role where you will help to deliver a high level of customer service, ensuring that all certificates issued comply with relevant legislative requirements and are issued accurately and on time.

Role responsibilities

As part of your role you will:

  • factual inspections and verification, evidence collection and documentation and will include checking identification of products
  • assess and process applications to enable Vets to comply with stringent export certification
  • contribute to and provide support for other administrative tasks such as, customer service initiatives and improvement of working practices

Applicants will be required to attain the Certifying Support Officer (CSO) accredited qualification which is authorised by the Department of Animal & Plant Health Agency, (APHA). This online training will be completed over a six hour period with a final assessment. The course provides training for paraprofessionals who wish to work on behalf of the government under the direction of an Official Veterinarian. Additional training/mentoring will also be provided as necessary.

In order to apply for this you must have 3 A Levels or equivalent qualification, one of which must be in a natural science or food production subject or a University degree.

About us
