A big thank you to Adrian and Jenny for all their hard work and expertise fixing Skippy’s knee

I was lucky enough to pop in during ‘some’ of the surgery and watch the team in action (hopefully not putting them under any pressure) doing a great job. The surgery appears to have gone well with Adrian finding a little more damage to the knee than we had expected and the surgery taking about 2 hours. Skippy came out of the anesthetic well, and was looking quite bright within a couple of hours. She was lucky enough to have many visitors (pretty much all the Small animal staff) coming to check on her progress, she really is part of the Daleside Vets family

Skippy is home now (feeling slightly sorry for herself) and confined to her cage, for the next week or so at least. We are following Adrian and Jenny’s instruction to the letter, we have started her medications and icing her leg, but, probably most importantly complete cage rest

Physiotherapy is due to start in the next few days followed up with a check up next week….
