Clare Jones (RVN)

Veterinary Nurse

My name is Clare and I began working in practice in 2009 and then qualified as an RVN in 2013.

I was lucky enough to train at an exotic referral practice where I spent six happy years. I felt client education was very important and did a lot of things to promote this including designing puppy/kitten booklets, writing client handout information sheets on an abundance of species, and have even published several articles on subjects including Bearded Dragons, Parrots, blood sampling reptiles and obesity in dogs.

I spent six months at a busy small animal hospital before joining Dogs Trust in 2016 as a Campaigns Veterinary Nurse for the North West, holding dog welfare events. At these events I would give owners advice, do basic health checks and microchip their dogs.

I have since been on maternity leave for a year after having my beautiful daughter and then joined the lovely Daleside team at the start of 2019, which I am really excited about!
I have interests in client education, weight management, and also enjoy being in theatre!

Out of work I like to spend time with my husband and daughter; I love to bake and decorate cakes, I enjoy exercising, writing and you will probably find me doing some sort of creative project!

“Best vets in Wrexham. Always helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Friendly staff that go out of their way to not only care for your pet, but also to keep the pets carer fully informed every step of the way. They have always looked after and treated my 2 yorkies Lulu and Pebbles amazingly, they saved Lulu’s life, words can never describe how grateful I am to them. I Would recommend this veterinary practice to everyone and anyone.”
